Much more than the back one. It's supposed to provide 70% of your stopping power except in slick conditions.

Agree with everyone -- mostly use the front to stop, although I do use both.

I use more rear only in parking lots, gas stations, or other ultra low speed maneuvers.

I just drag my feet on the ground . . .

Not using the front brake? You have absolutely positively without a doubt just got to be kidding. The only reason to use the Rear Brake is in an emergency braking situation when you need every last bit of braking power and want to keep the bike from swapping ends (AKA High Polar Moment of Inertia).

Maybe a motorcycle driving class is in order. Otherwise you may be seeing what the doctor orders... if you survive.

Default Front Brake

One of my riding buddies uses his front brake exclusively. As a result he went down three times this year. Front brake on gravel + heavy braking = road rash. Sure I use my front brake, but with my rear brake. Anybody who has ridden in the woods or on a track probably knows about tucking the front end. That's why I use the rear first then the front...

on hiway, rural or city roads its almost 100% front brake. when in parking lots or gravel it's almost 100% rear brake. everything inbetween has it's own circumstances which dictates how I use both in unison.
Glad I could confuse you, but it has worked for me for over 30 years.

No offense meant to the O/P, but, questions like this make me believe that some people really ought to just stick to driving something with four wheels.
