Yeah, it bites. Five year old, other family, work,
holidays. Nuff said. I'm just waiting for one of those GA winter, 65 degree plus
weekend days to get my knees in the breeze again. I haven't even gotten much
ride time on the horses lately. The holidays are great for family togetherness,
but I'm always glad to see them gone.
Been a strange fall/start of winter here. We still haven't gotten any snow down
here yet. Was great getting my Christmas ride in. Would have been better w/
dry roads & snow on the lawns. Took the g-kids to the store to spend their
money today. One at a time on the bike. We're gonna get plowed one of these
days.
I bet your house smells better than mine! Been eating a bunch of the wifes deviled eggs,Broccolly casserole and cabbage today got 11 inches of snow here in Virginia and had to crack open a window.
Well I love the sound of a Harley and the smell of racing fuel when I went to the dragstrip near me. But I wouldn't do that kind of thing in a closed area with no ventilation like that, needs to at least be ventilated. I know you said it would only be on for a minute but better be safe than sorry.
nitro-methane(as in top fuel dragster!!) comes to mind as something that smells better than motorcycle exhaust...or bacon frying for that matter. but it does beat the smell of baby poop.
Bob;
Castor and Castrol are two different things. Castor oil is mainly used in alcohol fueled engines. I used it in my racing machines. I think BP petroleum named their oil castrol to play along with the age old use of castor.
Ah, Cool indeed. I love to learn something new each and every day.
I love the tidbits of timeless information that is spread throughout these pages. I try my best to do the same.
I don't care for the regular exhaust smell. But my 2 stroke dirtbikes used to get race gas and Maxima 927 premix (castor oil based), the smell of that stuff is heavenly. I run it in my snowblower, and it puts a smile on my face and a funk on my clothes that lasts for hours.
Castor oil smells very, very good when it's burned. Intoxicating good, as others have mentioned.
Not that the bike is parked for the winter here in Arizona, but you guys...and gals are making me miss my ATC and my CR 250R. I also miss the smell of the pit beef on the grill ...& race fuel and castor oil that was in the air at the Budds Creek Pro Motocross National every year. Talk about heavenly.
