Easier and safer:
1.) Buy some air freshener
2.) Wait till the OL is gone from the house (This step is very, very important.)
3.) Seal the gas tank completely, Cap, Fuel Lines, etc.
4.) Fill the Bath Tube with HOT water.
5.) Hold the Tank under water; or as much of it as you can.
6.) Watch for bubbles. The heat of the water will raise the temperature and therefore the pressure of the air in the tank enough to find even the tiniest pin hole.
7.) Wash the Tub really well (and I do mean really well)
8.) Use the air freshener liberally

Install non vented gas cap, install pet ****, put fuel line on pet **** and take air blower and stick into end of fuel line. Turn regulator on compressor to 15 psi and pump 'er up. Submerge in tank of water or start spraying around with dish-soapy-water. Look for bubbles.

Good 'ole American ingenuity there Bluehighways!!! Never would of thought of that myself but it makes perfect sense.

My wife left 10 years ago so I'd probably pass on steps 1, 2, 7 & 8 though

I would not put more than 2 or 3 pounds of air pressure in a motorcycle tank unless you want a new shape to your tins. You can litteraly blow in the overflow hose and achive this.
And I would like to have a video of someone trying to hold a tank full of air down in a bathtub long enough and still enough to see a tiny bubble. Soapy water in a spray bottle!

Seal the tank except for the petcock opening. Spray a 3 second shot of Acetylene in said petcock opening and quickly insert a lit match. All porosities will be visible immediately.
