WOW we just got home from the York Open House Tour...(went as an afterthought in the trailblazer, not on the bike) I was impressed with the events and the plant. Good to see the workers building our ride seemed happy to be doing their jobs. and the countryside up there was spectacular as well.
Been to the York plant twice myself. It's an awesome place. And you are right about the area. York and Lancaster counties are beautiful places to ride and take in the sights.
We just got back tonight. It was a good time. I was very impressed by the factory. Neat, clean, good employees, good parking, lines kept moving. Only draw back is the traffic. And of course the rain today. But it was a good time and i'll go back next year. So many things to do and see, but not enough time to do it. Well worth the trip.
I went last July and concur, cool tour.
Even saw some parts covered up that had "08" labels. Lady explained that they make some parts for testing at the Talledega Testing Facility. I'm from Montgomery and never even thought about Talledega.
Met a lady and her husband last month in Memphis and it turns out that she works at the facility. I tried my best, but she said she'd get fired if she took me in for a look-see. She did send me the t-shirt tho'..
York was a cool tour, now I gotta go to Milwaukee.......
