Me.. I wait till some of the heavy spring rains come through and washes the salt and sand off the roads. I never get out in the salt and sand. And I am really itching to do so now, obviously in the riding winter blues... I got the bike in April Hoping to be out in March this year as long as Mother Nature co-operates!

I don't stop, but where I am there is no salt to deal with.It gets cold and rains a lot in the winter but fortunatly we ride year round. I don't think I could deal with what you guys have.

Still riding... No freezing stuff down here... YET (calls for some this weekend though). And when we do get some, street crews use sand/salt mix mainly on the overpasses. Usually wait a few days for the stuff to blow off the roads or until a street sweeper comes by.

As long as the roads are mostly clear of snow and ice and temps are 30+ I will ride all year. I try and wipe the bike ('00 FXDL) down as much as possible after the ride and it's held up fine so far.

This year, for me, it will be mid February when I trailer it down to the Keys for a couple of weeks. Otherwise, mid March usually...

I am planning a ride tomorrow. Gonna ride over to Breaux Bridge and meet Gypsylady and check out her new ride.
