Recently bought a new (to me) Harley. Signed the papers, dealer gave me the papers, keys, etc. I looked at they keys and they were stamped {"made in china". Oh well!
Why is it that people now are concerned where the item was made. i have been screaming about it for 30 years, and now you people just now catch on?????????????

No kidding. Where were these people 30 or 40 years ago. It's too late now. Walmart is here to stay. We manufacture very little in this country now. It really amazes me when people start these discussions now like we can actually turn it around. Wake up people. It's over.

36 years here. I thought I was doing my thing for America when I ordered out a brand new '75 Olds Starfire. Took three months to come, and then I found out it was made it Canada.
I have, however, been perfectly happy with the quality of everything "harley" that I have purchased, regardless of the country of manufacture. I do believe our EPA is much to blame for most of our chrome parts being made overseas....but, then, I do like clean drinking water. Back in the early '70's, I sent all my parts to Ocala Plating, in Ocala, Fl. That business is now an EPA superfund cleanup site.
Here we go again..... I am already disliked on this forum for my views and seem to be one of the rare ones that believe in buying American for the purpose of sustaining our own economy as well as my opinion that we should become a self reliant industry and consumer-ship again ending our participation in free world trade. So there is no purpose to getting back into this... lol
