I will try to keep this short. I order a 10 Ultra POSE. I paid and went out to see the bike. It was not a POSE but the dealer thought it was a HD mistake. It is a black Shrine edition with a Shrine Vin.
I really wanted the POSE tank medallions. I wanted that chrome emblem without the POSE rockers. The dealer said I could order the and I did. I paid $147 in June........In October I was notified that I could NOT purchase the medallions due to not having a POSE vin for the order. I got my money back.
Aggravation has set it. I still want the medallions and I'm looking for a way to get them. I saw 2 sets on ebay and did not win either auction. If i had a POSE vin I could order them.
To add insult to injury....I am a retired PO and the dealership had my bike (the one I ordered) on the floor a week after I took delivery of the black shrine bike!!
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks
2. I can't help you with your medallion issue. Actually, I can. Next time you find them on eBay don't be so cheap.
3. Be prepared to defend why you took delivery on a bike that isn't the one you wanted/ordered, because the members that will question that will be here in 5...4...3...2...
Maybe, I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any difference in the VIN for a Shriner bike and a POSE. I have a POSE (not a cop), and the special editions fall under the same Shriner category.
Ordered the POSE without ABS and security. I added laced wheels for an addtional $450. I wanted black but was not keen on the blue/silver pinstripe.
They prepped a 10 ultra, black, silver pinstripe, with abs and security and the laced wheels. They thought (due to the vin) it was the POSE.
Since they thought a mistake had been made....i got the abs, security and the laced wheels free. Since I thought I could get the medallions I figured I had made out really well. I really wanted the medallions and it was more bike than I paid for and I was under the impression I could get the medallions.
The Shrine vin is in the same class but when it was used for the order of the medallions it showed it was not a POSE. The dealer really went to bat for me but said Harley won't budge.
why would you accept something that you didn't want?
stop crying and either ride what you have or trade it in on what you want!
Thanks so much for being so helpful. This has been a great experience for my first time here on this forum. I was right to stay off it for as long as I have. I truly hope there are some people on here who can offer a suggestion or 2 instead of just clogging up a thread making stupid comments.
