I see POSE bikes being traded in with the tank badges having been removed, somebody must have some! I will e-mail my dealer and see if he has a set laying around...
It's not the badges I'm interested in. The tank medallion comes without the words "peace Office" on the top rocker and "Special Edition" on the bottom rocker. You can add these to the actual tank medallioin if you want. The medallion actually says "Harley Davidson" across the middle and " Motor" on the top and "Cycles" on the bottom. The medallion can be seen on Harley's website.
I just liked the chrome medallion.....that's all. I order the POSE and they made a mistake. Oh well. I had over 500 miles on the bike when I was at the dealer and saw the bike I ordered on the floor there. They then said they screwed up.
I'm a retired police officer and I'm not hung up on that. I could care less about the whole PO edition thing actually. I got the best price when I ordered the PO edition. The same bike off the floor or ordered was costing me $2k more. The dealer I bought from heavily discounts the PO, Shrine and Fireman editions.
Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. I'm gonna keep lookin for a guy with a PO and talk him into lettin me use his vin.
