Yeah, just buy what floats yer boat. Opinions from strangers shouldn't enter in to your decision. Get what you really like. As for the nay-sayers, f&#k 'em all, short and tall.

take a look at the seat in my signature. I believe it is a sundowner. It came with my bike when I bought it. It is in great shape (no rips or tears or unusual marks. I would be willing to part with it for $150 shipped. I went with the 1925 solo seat and love it. The sundowner is comfy but not the look I was after.

The springer front is great I think it's a little better over normal road bumps then regular forks, and the same maybe a little worse when taking a huge texas pothole. As for handling it's great until you drag a floorboard which seems to happen a little more often then I would like. I'm not talking about hard riding ether I drag mine taking a normal turn into the inside lane at stop lights, but it's comfortable as hell and like it or love people always ask about it.

Stirrrrrrrr,,,, If U want a good riding Softail,,, take a spin on a Lux or for the best Ergo Softail ride the Heritage...

Ifffen U want a Baddd A$$$ touring Bike/ride,,, sample the Steeet Glide...
