Ok here's the deal. Of all the short rides/trips/experiences you've had riding, pick one single story that would be your best of all time. The craziest? The most beautiful? The longest? Crazy bike problems? WHICH ONE STICKS OUT AS YOUR BEST RIDING EXPERIENCE EVER.
Since I've only had a Harley for one season, and I would have to say my BEST experience with my bike was my first poker run on Memorial Day weekend 2010. I have never been on a poker run before so it was exciting pulling up and finally being "one of the bikers." We rode to far away bars, 60 or so bikes. I got to experience some of the best routes around where I live, and meet a bunch of people, a couple who I still ride with when I get a chance. I'll have to say, I was definitely the youngest, but everyone made me feel right at home. People were just nice and having a blast...great food, beers, music...and laughs!! I've been on other "rides" but the first ever is one I'll never forget...
9000 mile, around the country solo trip. I saw more stuff than I could write down, but Beartooth Pass, Monument Valley at sunrise, and Death Valley at noon on the hottest day in 75 years top the list.
And a week ago I rode to the top of the volcano at Haleakala National Park in Maui. That definately didn't suck.

Summer of '08. I was given a grant (Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant) I rode across the eastern USA without using any national chain restaurants or hotels. I also did 4,700 miles without ever getting on an Interstate. It was amazing!
Here is the video I made. I have posted this before but I always love seeing it again. http://www.youtube.com/embed/ue1a7IZ4AEc
Many years ago, I built a 75 sporty from a basket case, had 2 nickles to my name and was just getting by... Met a girl, started dating, took her for a ride, took the bike off into the woods. Laid down a blanket, broke open a bottle a wine and got busy. 17 years later, married to that same girl, with a family of our own and have built a great life. That was my best ride...
