Are the internation bike shows worth it?
Thinking of going to the Internation Motorcycle show in Chicago on Feb 12th. Is it worth going to? What is actually there? I saw that JP cycles is there and I'm sure that there are several other dealers, but what exactly is there? Do they have vendors that sell items or is it just showing off the 2011 products? Never been to one and no one that I personally know has either, so I'm just looking for some info and to see what you guys think.

Think of the Chicago Auto Show; now replace the autos with motorcycles and you have the International Motorcycle Show. There are vendors selling their products there. It's a good show and worth the money.

Absolutely worth it! The only bad thing is departing with all your money. I really dented my bank account in Cleveland! Really enjoyed all the vendors and show discounts. I was told Chicago is one of the 4 largest shows in the circuit. Go for it!

Recently went to the same show in NY. Sat on alot of the newer bikes and found a seat (off a 2011 Ultra) that I ended up getting thru Craigs List locally. (This alone was well worth the price of gas, tolls, parking and admission) Wish I had purchased a wallet from one of the merchants there who was showing these really cool thin (nylon?) wallets. An enjoyable morning with the wife browsing!

good show if you're looking for a bike because most of the brands and bikes are there and you can look at them. If you get on the website for the show or for progressive insurance you can normally get discount tickets to get in for 10.00
