Default How to wash my bike

Got a new FLHTX Ultra Limited 2 weeks ago and it's about time for a wash. Looks like it's going to be tough to try and clean all the nooks and crannies, especially the wheels. Guess it won't hurt the radio to get it wet .
How do you wash yours? Any suggestions on a quick and easy way to clean it up?

They get ridden in the rain so water won't hurt it too much. You can wash it pretty much like washing a car. A bucket of suds, a sponge and some elbow grease. You can use Lemon Pledge or some other Quick Detail type cleaner wax. I like the Honda quick spray wax cleaner myself. But there are several you can try first.

I use car specific soap, microfiber, and an air blower to do mine.

There is none!!! A thorough cleaning of mine is at least 5 or 6 hours. I like to give it regular damp-wipes (an hour or so) in between. Mine is about 5 months old with about 5,000 miles and its never seen a hose (except for the wheels).

I spray mine with S-100 then rinse well. That takes no time at all, drying and polishing however takes a while.

I like the S100 products. When it comes to the wash/soap I use either HD Sunwash or Meguiars. I usually use air to blow some of the water off before drying with a cotton towel,HD Drying Towel & good quality Natural Chamois. I've been looking at those Air type Blaster. I don't spray my radio & gauges with water. I just use a damp cloth & then dry. Check out the S100 websites. Enjoy your new ride

Washed mine yesterday. Rinsed it down then sprayed S100 on the aluminum parts then rinsed again. Washed with Meguiars car wash soap then dried it with a towel. Used Meguairs billet metal polish on the aluminum and Turtle Wax chrome polish on the chrome then Never Dull on the wheel spokes and finally Pig Spit on the black parts.

I try to do that every 3 months or so.

Just use a regular car wash soap with a rag and in tight areas I use a cone brush for tires and hard to reach areas.

S100 is great stuff, I use it all the time. Make sure that you don't (like the label states) use it on "hot" parts (pipes, etc) because it could cause it to spot. If you use it, rinse it off real good and make sure you get it all off otherwise, again, it could leave spots. I have an electric blower that I use to dry it off and get to the hard to reach places.
