I don't care about checkpoints cuz i don't have anything to hide be it in my car or on my bike...I break no rules therefore i don't feel like it's an imposition. I think pinpointing a certain type of vehicle may not be right though....

This is still America and targeting motorcycles at checkpoints is for one thing and one thing only Revenue for cities and state. Sure they might get lucky and find someone with warrants but the last 3 motorcycle checkpoints they found nada nada a one! So they wrote tickets at will for all traffic violations and equipment so called violations. If you think for one minute this is the right thing to do, please leave America…

You who think you have nothing to hide wouldn’t mind them coming to your home in the middle of the night just to make sure you were not a criminal, or better yet waiting for when you get out of work to shake you down. Think about what you’re saying that this is alright. First off they usually setup the checkpoints when you’re going top or from a bike run and the more they do this the less biker will go and the economy and small business suffer…. Yeah that makes sense..

I understand that driving is a privilege and not a right, but searches and seizures are covered by the Constitution. My belief is that checkpoints of any kind are not in accordance with the 4th Amendment. I believe that a LEO should only be able to pull you over if there is a reasonable suspicion of a violation. Like others here, I have nothing to hide and don't mix drinking with riding, but that doesn't mean I agree with the legality of a checkpoint.

I'm one of those who have nothing to hide. My pipes are stock, I don't drink, I'm properly insured, and it's been many, many years since I used or carried any illegal substances.

If a LEO wants to pull me over for a license check, no problem. Driving is a privilege. But if he wants to look in my saddle bags or perform any oeration checks on my bike, he'd better have a warrant. If he (or she) wants to come into my house, or question me or my children, he'd better have a warrant.

I respect and admire people who serve, whether LEO, FF, or military (and I'm one of many in my family to serve, from the Revolution through the Civil War through WWI and II and right up to Afghanistan. But I will not surrender my God-given (and Constitutionally protected) rights.

I'm with the "laws apply to those who enforce them" camp.
