Well, last night my neighbor backed into the front of my bike. He probably would have taken off if the alarm hadn't gone off. I live in a condo so it's private property and the cops can't assign blame but he admitted that it was his fault and the cop wrote up a report. I can only determine that it's the front fender that is damaged, it rides fine and the front end looks and feels ok. My question is however, that I have a 2003 paint set (#75/150), will I have any problems getting the same paint due to it being 3 years old? My stealership is closed today so I hope someone here can help me answer this.
we just went through this for a gastank on a limited edition flame paint set for a fat boy...Took all summer. The good news is riding season is almost over. They might be able to get you the new fender by spring, if they stay on it...
Thanks for the replies guys. That is the one thing I am happy about is that if it had to happen, better at the end of the summer than at the beginning. What year paint set was your fat boy alazlo?
Don,t use a paint shop, they will be lucky to match the paint. He has to pay for it & Harley doesn't even try to spot match paint. They send a whole new fender painted to match the original paint job. Dealer will write ya up an order for fender & labor.
wasn't mine, was a guy I ride with, it was an 03 and took close to six months but it was warranty as the tank shed it's liner and was pliugging up the fuel lines..
