The news media have been saying prices will average around $5.00 per gallon for regular this summer...the gov needs to open up some of the reserves, but that is not going to happen.
I don't believe the lack of production hype either..."they" do this to drive prices up...
IMO, if prices keep going up like this, we may see another economic collapse... a lot of people out there have taken pay cuts, changed careers, starting at the bottom, and lost jobs and still have not recovered from the last downfall..prices of goods are going to sky rocket. I think our national economy as a whole will be impacted big time...JMO, for whats it's worth..
yup. And the federal gubment is going bankrupt in a few weeks if they don't take out another 'loan' to bail us out. Who's idea was it to spend trillions of dollars we don't have to finance a 'recovery' that didn't work anyways...?
any one remember the beginning of harleydavidson and the malboro man,he buys $12 of gas to fill his bike..i thought how far in the future is this movie set?..it cost me about $16 to fill my EG last summer.. probably be $20 this year

Fill it? It'll prolly be closer to $30 this summer.
Yeah, the gas prices are goin up and wont stop til prob $5 a gallon. All because everyone in the middle east wants democracy. Funny, we're the infidels, yet they want what we have. Now we have to pay for it. Here's a big fat F U to all the gas companies. Wonder what their profits will be at the end of the second quarter?
$20 on fill up would be a field day for me. No Harley yet but my 11-12 mpg in town Chevy Silverado with a 26 gallon tank took $97 once to fill up. It was when gas was a little over $4 here and I still had about 3 gallons in the tank (back when I would run it almost empty). Now I always fill up at 1/4 full so it won't hit has hard but a little more often (but mainly to not wear out the fuel pump). Right now it takes between $55 and $60 to fill up from a 1/4 tank with it being around $3.20/gallon. I haven't bitched yet because I knew what I was getting into when I got the truck used back in '04. If it gets to $5 like it's rumored to, then ya I'm going to bitch but only about the prices not the gas mileage. Will be right around $95-100 for a fill up at $5/gallon with it being 1/4 full to start with.
So ya I wish I had a Harley for when I didn't need to drive cage.
