I've been putting close to 100 miles a day on my truck between the gym and work. I can't wait for the roads to clean up a bit and the weather to stay above freezing. Looks like I'll be using the bike a lot this year.
This is the same problem we had when Bush was in office. You have speculations of how much gas or a barrel of oil will cost. People in the stock market, these so called speculators are buying oil and selling it at a profit. OPEC can produce and get more oil from other country's at anytime. Saudi Arabia can produce more oil. In all actuality, you are paying more for gas now that was bought at a lower cost. This way the gas station can pass on the cost of the next time they have to buy gas to fill their tanks.
Europe has always had high gas prices but you've adapted to it with better mass transit and more fuel-efficient cars. We got used to cheap gas in the 50's and 60's and never worried about efficiency. Now we're trying to adapt to high prices and it's not working out so well. Of course the tree-hugging liberals who block any attempt to drill on our own land aren't helping any.
Got a station near the corner of US23 and I-96 that posted new prices this morning for 3.59 for regular. Of course there is snow on the ground here ( a lot ) so we shouldn't have to worry about scooter fuel for a few more weeks ... by then it should be near a more acceptable per gallon price of @ $4.00 .. Whooooooo peeeee !!
3.25$ PER GALLON FEB.23 FOR ETHANOL FREE PREMIUM. EAST TENNESSEE! MY STOCK 96"er AS WELL AS CAR & TRUCK SHORE LIKE PURE (as much as it can be) E FREE. HOW MANY FOLKS REMEMBER .19 $ A GALLON BACK IN THE "50s? SOMETIMES THEY WOULD HAVE GAS WARS AND COME DOWN A COUPLE OF PENNIES. YES, I WAS WORKING FOR 1.15 $ A HOUR.
I'm more pissed about weather than the cost of gas. The Hog gets 2.5 times the milege as the truck so when it rains, I have to take the truck to work. Keep the weather decent and I'll gladly pay for the gas...
Had to go to the VA hospital in Temple, TX on tuesday. 244 mile round trip. Cost me over $20 in gas on my bike. I only have the 3.3gal tank. Very sad when it costs over $10 to fill something that small.

It amazes me everyday how horrible the media is and how little they know.
Prices ar around 3.20 around my parts now....hope they stay there until the spring thaw...
