clutch cable lube

i have put on a stock clutch cable on 2000 softail deuce do you need to lube the cable i have read so many different things some say not to lube some say to lube i have some dri slide i think the needle is stopped up how would you put it in there without having to buy another bottle just for the needle.

don't know if you should lube it or not what does the service manual say?

As for the needle try using an air compressor to blow the needle out.

Stock clutch cables should be lubed on a regular basis. Read the manual.. Some aftermarket cables are teflon lined or something and should not be lubed(someone told me)

I'm not sure of the do's and don't myself, just know that the stock cable on my 02 RoadKing was a piece of S**T and had to be lube just about every time I rode...wore my hand out by the end of the day. Threw on an aftermarket cable (maybe it is teflon lined like the above post mentioned), when I put on the new bars, and have never had a problem since.....
