beginner rider here. none of my biker buddies can answer this question so major props to anyone who can. This has never happened to me but what if for some strange reason......say.....something happens to your kickstand.....and you "have to" park it somewhere? What should you do?
I suppose I could just lay a bagger down on its engine guards without scratching it if I was careful. In fact, I know its possible to lay them down without scratching them withOUT being careful. From what I've heard.
Happened to my son in law 2 years ago. Kickstand broke. Hauled butt to the dealer & caught'em just at closing time. In & out in 10 minutes & cost 10 bucks.
10 bucks? must not have been a harley then.

Back in the day...we would use a half helmet or a full face helmet as a kick stand. We would put it on the ground by the left side riders foot peg and lean the bike on the helmet . Never had a bike fall over.
