Hey guys, I ordered a chrome front end kit on ebay, from a harley dealer, and have been waiting over two months. About three weeks ago, I got the sliders, but no kit. So I called, they said yeah, we made a mistake, we'll overnight the parts then send them to you. Then they say the parts are ordered, now they say they're sourcing the parts and should have them ordered this week....??!! OK, so I said enough B.S. I want a refund. I paid $450 for the kit, I'm keeping the forks, what should I get refunded? He said he'll call me back tomorrow, but more likely I'll have to call him.
You could figure the total retail prices of all the parts you were supposed to get, divide it into what you paid, and get a percentage of retail price. Apply that % to the retail price of what you didn't get--that should give you a fair value of the missing parts.
Send everything back and get a full refund (including incurred shipping costs).
Parting it out is unwise, as they'll just jack up the cost of the item you'd keep and also the shipping costs were for all items, not just the one piece.
Thats why you should always pay with a credit card. If you did you can call them and send back what you have and get a full refund. Your credit card company will mediate/bill back and help you settle. They carry alot of weight and can be quite helpful.
