OK. This may be a stupid question, but how do you store your gear (jacket, gloves, glasses, helmet, etc) between rides? Do you just leave them on your bike or does anyone have any special storage for them?
I have a cabinet that I put mine in, but there is not enough space in it and I'm looking for suggestions.
How much gear do you have where you can fill a cabinet and be out of space?!
Gloves go in jacket pockets. Jacket gets hung with the rest of my jackets and coats. Glasses always stay with me (prescription sunglasses). Boots get put with the rest of my shoes. Helmet ... if I wear one just goes on a shelf in the garage or left hanging from a peg on the bike.
Well the wife took over part of the cabinet (I know.....that is a completely different issue!) I have a jacket, chaps, my helmet, my wife's helmet, rain gear, cold weather gloves, warmer weather gloves, ..... I could go on, but I won't.
Wow. And I thought I had storage problems when I moved into a smaller shop. Don't you have closets in your house, barn, shed, garage, utility room or carport?
I leave my gear/helmet in the saddlebags or throw it on a shelf in the shop. When it won't be used for the Summer I put it in the hall closet. If I had more space in my garage I would buy a closet or locker.
Old throw-over saddle bags you pick up at rallys hung on the wall make good storage places, not to mention it looks kinda cool. I keep my bike in an enclosed trailer year-round so, thats where I keep my gear boots, gloves, helmuts ect. and its OK to steal my saddlebag idea!
Chaps on a shelf in the closet; jacket(s) in the same closet on hangers. Jeans folded up in another closet along with t-shirts, socks in a drawer of that closet. Helmet on top of a "wardrobe". Gloves/hi-vis (required on base) vest stay in the roll bag...which is brought in and put next to the helmets if it's gonna rain or snow over night. Bike sleeps in the parking lot, and gets rained/snowed on overnight...I brush the snow/moisture off before putting my butt on the seat when leaving for work. I let the bike sleep in a parking garage if wet weather is coming and I can't ride for a few days.

At home it's easy....a thing called "a closet". Other coats in there too..on hangers. And a shelf up along the top to toss helmets and gloves and hats. If for some reason someone held a gun to my head and forced me to buy chaps...I'd toss them on that shelf too....granted never to be worn.
While on rides....and I'm at resting spots...gloves get shoved in the top of trees, jacket gets folded and tucked onto lil luggage rack.
