It was minor - doing about 25 around a turn in a torrential downpour. Front wheel got caught in a metal rut on an overpass bridge.
I stood the bike up, fired it up and made it home - I was less than a mile from home, BTW - after 20 miles in pouring rain.
So, there was very little damage - Brake pedal bent, maybe a mirror, gas gauge came loose...
Question to you who have had minor falls:
Should I report it to my insurance and have them jack up my rates, or pay for what little damage there was and keep my 'perfect' record?
keep your perfect record. hopefully there won't be another claim but if there is the second one could be the one they ding you really good for. glad you aren't hurt.
Ride safe
Yep. After getting my wet gear off, and going back out to the garage:
Mirror , Windshield, Brake lever, scraped up
Brake Pedal- scraped, bent and pretty loose.
Definitely cheaper than my $500 deductible - especially since I shop the forum classifieds!
My new V&H Big Radius 2x2 Black were waiting on my front porch when I got home, so not a bad ending...
