I stopped at a local cycle shop today on my way home to take a closer look at the Bell custom 500 helmets I've been looking at online. The shop only had 1 on the shelf, and it just happened to be my size. So I asked the guy how much it was because it was missing the price tag.
He took it over to the counter, and tried to find a price on it, but came up empty. I've been looking at them for a few weeks now online so I know where the price is on them. It's a nice helmet, but at 140.00 I wasn't in love with it. I was hoping that the shop I was at had better prices than I've found on flea bay. After looking for about 5 minutes he finally asked the owner. The owner replies "I'm not sure, what are those other 3/4 helmets priced at?" The guy dealing with me says about 49.00 so the owner says OK give him that one for 49.00 if he wants it.
I about pissed myself trying to hide my excitement. I don't love the helmet for 140.00, but for 50.00 it has me singing a whole new tune!
