Security Code
The info is already out there.....and read the OP's post closely.....He never said he didnt have the fob....He asked how to change the code to something HE wants so he can start his own bike IF the fob is not present...
And how did we help him start it unless he has the fob?
Without the fob and not knowing the code he will have to take it to a dealer to get it reprogrammed.
Just tonight I reprogrammed my wife's bike and the code she THOUGHT the dealer had setup back in Nov of 07 on her 08 Heritage was NOT the code....Good thing she had her single fob (she never received two like I did) and thus I was able to access the original code and change it to something we both will know now! I did this as I had to rip the battery out of my spare fob as her battery in her fob had died.
Sheeze...

I agree on practicing. I do every once in a while and always seem to mess up. So I got a copy of the procedure saved on my iPhone incase I forget when out on the road. Or u could put a copy in your wallet.
And the radio shack siren is the best cheapest addition I ever did to my bike. That little 6 dollar siren is LOUD. Everytime. I forget my fob to move the bike around the garage I get reminded...

Thanks for all the help. First off, I did not steal my bike. I bought it from the original owner who could not remember what his code was. I have a 2001 Ultra. I have 2 key fobs and have had the bike 2 years. One of the fobs stopped working and this is what got me to try and enter a personal code. No luck so far but will continue to try. Again thanks for all the info. Great forum.
