So long story short my pissed off ex tossed all my bike keys out with my fobs. I have a 02 Fatboy with the button in the middle of the fob. ordered new keys and fob. I have no way of getting the bike to the dealer to program. Im trying to program it but the lights will not stop flashing. how the hell do you program it. HELP!!!!!!!!!! I cant even ride my bike. I cannot even get to where it shows the pin WTF
Are you able to use the turn signals to disable the alarm so you can start the bike and get it to the dealer? Off the top of my head I don't know how to program a fob
I believe you need to access the computer to program the fob and that means more than likely the dealer or a very capable indie.
Another option is to disarm the system but since you stated you can't get it to the dealer you must not know of this option or you don't recall the PIN number to disarm it.
I keep the disarm instruction and PIN in my wallet just in case I lose the fob or it malfunctions.
But just in case you do recall the PIN number:
1) Turn IGN key to IGNITION and immediately hold both turn switches in until 5 dashes appear in the odometer.
2) Enter the first digit of code by pressing the left turn switch "X" times
3) press right turn switch 1 time
4) enter second digit of code by pressing the left turn switch "X" times
5) press right turn switch 1 time
6) enter third digit of code by pressing the left turn switch "X" times
7) press right turn switch 1 time
8) enter forth digit of code by pressing the left turn switch "X" times
9) press right turn switch 1 time
10) enter fifth digit of code by pressing the left turn switch "X" times
11) press right turn switch 1 time
This should bypass the system.
Of course you have to do this every time you start the bike until the fob is active.
IF you can get it unlocked via the PIN then you can reprogram the fob easily
Turn the ignition on-off-on-off-on then press the left turn signal twice, right turn signal once then left turn signal again. Once that is done hold the button on the fob until the lights flash. To program a second fob just hold the button it till the lights flash. Once both fobs are programmed turn off the ignition and test
Biggest thing is security needs to be disabled with a fob or pun code first
I cannot even get to the pin portion of it. The lights just flash. I even pulled the security fuse to try to get it to reset. How do they expect you to put a pin in when the alarm will not stop going off. Is there a way to get the alarm to stop going off?

Not to hi jack the thread here BUT, I have a 2010 Heritage, that the dealer never programed the second fob!
Got told bring it back for a nominal fee we will do it for you, UH?
Will this ignition turn signal button work on the second fob?
Thanks Curt Acree
The process is for 06 and older. It may work if your fob has a push button. Check the owners manual to be certain. Newer bikes like my 14 have no button and REQUIRE programming from the dealership
