I am moving to the UK soon and taking my bike with me. Will I have to put the exhaust, aircleaner and any other "performance mods" back to stock to pass the MOT inspections?
whatever32 .... All you will have to do is fit the origional pipes back on for the MOT and have the legal English requirement number plate or maybe it's different for you guy's from the States worth checking seeing as it's already registered plus the legal req for tyre tread depth ... as for aircleaner and mods not a problem as mine have never been an issue ... once you get it ( the MOT) you put your other pipes back on and maybe a 7x4 plate on your bike and your good to go everybody does it ....

I have Vance and Hines Short Shots air cleaner etc. As long as your pipes don,t state "for off use only" or "not for road use" or are really loud you would be very unlucky to fail an MOT test. Also ask around in the area you,re moving into, i,m sure the local,s will give you tips on "friendly" testers.
Where are you going to be living?
Hi whatever, had my 2nd MOT in December, i have big shot staggereds on didn't take them off and had no problems, I did go through my local dealer though so maybe they use a sympathetic MOT station I'm not sure, Like the previous poster said you will more than likely have to put on a standard UK No plate to get through the MOT.
When you get here give your local dealer a call and see what they say, good luck with the move to the UK, cheers Gerry.
