Others on this forum have posted that it makes no difference. Supposedly, even a spoked wheel acts as a solid plane over 10 mph.

Riding in high winds can be exhausting but its better then not riding.

I was in Albuquerque in the spring and the wind there is ridiculous..... daily.

Don't mind. There's always a 70-90 mph wind when I ride.

I can ride in the wind, do it lots of times but it takes the fun out of the ride. I'm getting to the point I stay home in the super windy days.

Rarely get a calm/non-windy in NE so just have to deal with it. Anything under 25 isn't too bad with my heavy bagger. Higher winds tend to be a workout...

I ride in anything but snow and ice. The wind is a pain when its in your face and your are going 70 mph makes it feel like you are going 100. I hate it when I am in a slow speed turn like an intersection.

I with ya TJ. I'm also in the DFW area and about had enough of these winds. I now routinely checked the forecasted winds before planning my rides. Use to just check for rain. Now it's rain AND WINDS. I don't remember having this amount of windy days here in DFW.

It's been windier than usual here in East Texas this year. But, I don't mind it too much until the winds are gusting up a bit. What I really don't like is sitting at a red light and a gust hits me from the side and I'm not ready for it. It makes for an "oh sh*t" moment I would rather folks in minivans and Prius cages don't get to see.

I had a sportster with spoked wheels and now a fatboy with the solid wheels and I find the Fatboy less affected by the wind - maybe because of the weight difference not the rims. We were in Arizona and the winds were gusting at over 50 mph, got off the interstate when we saw the SEMI's in front of us swaying from lane to lane. We just went a back route. When it's really windy I pick the centre of my lane so I have room to be tossed around a bit and also slowing down a bit helps some, otherwise it's not too bad.
