its sad what some people will do, I hope you find it unharmed.
The other day I was going to class and some one left the key in their bmw motorcycle with it in the on position. I just turned the key to the off position and took it out and layed it next to the ignition so it wasn't so obvious.

When I have to lock my bike in my garage or my living room, it's time to move to a better neighborhood. I do lock it when out but I have left the house without the key before and couldn't lock it.

Its not that you have to lock it, its the HABIT you get into of locking it at all times when your not using it.

don't blame the OL...your fault completely. don't be surprised if insurance balks at paying full amount--as it is partially your fault. things like this are why insurance rates are so high.

Can always count on Dan for a buzz kill. The reason insurance is so high is someone STOLE his bike. Sure he was a litttle careless, but this is NE, not NYC. People used to be honest in Midwest before we became a welfare state. Now if luxury items don't come from government, people feel entitled to your luxury items.

Just sucks having your stuff ripped off. However, if they want it bad enough, they'll get it. Saw some guys run a pipe through the front wheel and another through the back and they picked the bike up and walked off with it. Locked, wheel padlocked, alarm on, didn't matter. truck w enclosed trailer pulled up and away they went. Before we could get the cops on the phone they were two blocks away.
