FWIW - our local dealer is $85 and the best local Indy is $45.

Have a good one,

My local dealer used to charge $95 an hour. But since the economy went south, and they had to close up,now he doesn't charge anything.,,

but is he working off of flat rate? if so, doesn't matter if he does the job in 4 hrs or 40 hrs, he is still getting the same amount for labor.

i haven't had to pay labor here, but i think it's in the neighborhood of $85.00 hr.

The closest dealer to me is at a $55/hr labor rate. still do my own work. I never made $55/hr in my life. So, when I do my own work, I am making the best money ever.

I think the local Jax, FL stealership's rates are around $90. I'm basing this on a small repair I thought would be warranty but wasn't and they charged me 1/2 hour labor... seemed easier just to let 'em do it while it was already there.

Furthermore, a buddy of mine and myself did my 16" apes in a day. If you're somewhat familiar with the work involved and have a modest toolset, one can do it by yourself and save a few hundo in labor. Parts are expensive enough!
