Custom paint
I just had custom paint work done on my ST. The guy is Jerry Haluska. He's from the east coast but recently moved to the Champaign IL area. He does great work CHEAP!
He had my entire bike broken down painted and put back together in a week.
If anyone needs some work - he's your guy - he can turn it around quick and he is an amazing artist.
He said he will quote the price job by job, but in general he charges $25 per hr for basic body work and $35 for custom air brush work!! WHAT!
Check out what he did to my bike in 1 week.
I know it sounds like I'm promoting the guy - but he does good work for cheap! Who doesn't want to have a cool paint job for cheap!
Oh yeah - he's a veteran too.

No - I dont get royalties - I just think an honest guy who does good work should get noticed.

He sanded it all with 400 and brushed over the original black harley paint. Then re-cleared everything.
But my original paint was in pretty good condition.
He can do a complete strip down too if you want to pay the hrs to have it done.
Jerry's a good guy & he and I went back and forth for a couple weeks until we had the design I wanted.

Did you perhaps wash the bike after it was done? Your washing technique could have caused all those swirls or maybe the bike was not properly buffed after it was painted. Either way, it needs a good buffing now to look its best.

The bike is dusty in the pics - it rode home in the back of the truck. I have not yet polished it. I'm planning to let the paint gas off for a couple more months before doing anything to it.
prep work was great - I didn't want to pay to have it stripped to bare metal since it would have been painted black again.
The pics do show a little more rubbing could be done to the clear - but what the heck - he had it back to me in a week. I'll rub it out better in July. I'm afraid to mess it up before that.
