dyna seats
Before I go and start tearing seats off at the dealier, I have a 05 wideglide and I am wondering the differance in the 9?-03, 04-05, 06 and up seat types. Is it just mounting points or shape or ??? I will see a dyna seat for cheap and NOPE it wont fit yours. bugs me.

I can only speak for the difference between 96-03 & 04/05. There is about a 2" difference in the front mounting point between the 2 styles of seats. I have first hand experience between my 99 FXDX and my buddys 04 FXDL. Hope this sheds a little light on your question.

THANKS all imfo is helpfull . My 05 has a flat tab about 3/16" thick and 1 1/4" wide that slips up under the tank mount and a bolt at the sissy bar end. Looks like there is a plug where you could be the rear mount for a single seat.
