1980 fxef
Ok I am new to this forum but here it goes I have a 1980 fat bob my dad bough it brand new. Off the show room floor so I have been fixing it. It sat for around 10 years I have been riding it for around one year well I have a rwoccuring problem and that is the clutch when I come to a stop it stays in gear even when I pull the clutch in and I have to hit the gas well then after a few seconds it will pop out but its pretty scary coming to a stop and not know what is going to happen well I adjusted the clutch and it was great for around a hundred miles then started slipping well then I thought I screwed up so I tried again and once again it was good but not for long so I am sick of this problem I took the primary cover off and now what should I look for and honestly I need some help and tips with tie how to I pull the clutch assembly off all that's their is the adjusted and nut and then the three nuts one the outside

Get a HD factory service manual. In it you will find fantastic procedures for clutch disassembly/assembly. I don't know anything about shovels but when my ironhead does what yours is doing, the clutch plates are sticking together. Usually, I ride mine for about 5 minutes and the problem goes away. In your case, it sounds like the plates aren't getting unstuck.
