I would take it right back to the dealer, as it isn't right. You could also look at the ferrule where the cable and hand lever meet to ensure that you have a minimum of about a dimes worth of gap or play at that point. If not try adjusting just the cable itself.
Take it back, and while you are there buy the service manual and learn to do it yourself. Think I read here about another poster who had a clutch binding and it turned out the dealer forgot to put fluid back in the primary.........duh!
Do both. Bring it back so the person responsible knows about it and corrects it, hopefully it won't happen to the next customer. And get the service manual so you can deal with a lot of the stuff yourself.
Clutch adjustment's real easy;done at the cable. Not even worth the gas to bring back. There should be some free play in the hand lever. When they installed my GF
's EZ clutch, there was no free play. Buncha dimwits. I fixed it for her in 2 seconds.
