Maybe it's a local price. I'm near Pittsburgh, PA, and just checked the NAPA website. My local store's price is $7.99 per quart, and there's no sale price shown on the monthly flyer (which is also on the website).

Filter 1394 will fit the TC96 engine...peel labe off and it's a black filter....have to order in some store...they can get from warehouse////
