Went to a family gathering in Morganton West Virginia. The road that the Excaliber is on, (My Grandmother use to own that bar). All day we heard bikes ride by and all day I so wanted to ride!! Then on Sunday took the scoot out and got blasted by a storm! Hopefully this week I put on 200 miles on it!
I'm thinking of going to Morgantown, to that rally that I found out about in the "whine and stay home because of checkpoints" thread. Seems like a pretty good one, from what I have found on line. Real bands, vintage bikes, etc.
Morgantown is about two hrs from the house.
GF want to go to rally too
she has never been around a huge amount of people on her bike
I'm wondering how she will make out....... because some can be impatient with new riders
Went to Mountainfest last year had a blast am going again this year. They have good bands good riding and places downtown to get good food. The bike show was soso but I see it as growing pains..Also if you are going and going to camp get on line and get a place reserved. That I also learned last year
Hey I was probly one of the people you heard ride by on route 73. I live about 20 min south of Morgantown and for the first time since it started I won't be at MTfest. I will however stay downtown and check out the vintage bikes and support the local bars. I think it's 25$ to get in at the mylan park and they have one brand of beer and honestly none of the bands are that appealing to me and the last thing I want to do is support triple S Harley. There is tons of awesome good riding roads east of morgantown and south in the mountains.
