Missin my bike today.
I do just about all my own work so it doesn't spend time sitting in a shop.
I had knee surgery on June 6th. Knowing that I probably wouldn't be able to ride it anyway because of the surgery, I put it in the shop on June 4th to have the cam tensioners upgraded along with new cams and some other **** in prep for the upcoming Hoka Hey Challenge.
I know I can't ride right now but I still would like to go out the garage and at least visit, tinker, or just look at it. I can't even drive the cage out to the shop and visit it because they are closed today. I told them they could have it for three weeks which don't matter I guess cause even if it was finished tomorrow, I wouldn't let anyone ride it home for me and I don't want it riding in a damn trailer either.
I know this probably sounds pretty wacky to some of you. I also know that many of you can understand what I'm saying and would feel the same way.
I normally don't post **** like this but I'm sore, bored, and MISSING MY BIKE right now.
I've been home with a couple of injury's since the 1st of this year and have been able to ride almost every day.
Thanks for you service to our country by the way and I hope the next year goes fast for you. One of my neighbors is over there someplace working on an offshore Oil Rig and another guy I know is operating heavy equipment on a base in Iraq. The guy on the rig has two Harleys and is really missing them both and he gets home every 5 weeks!
I did not even take the bike out of the shed because I knew there woud most likely be no riding for me this summer.

She then proceeded to remind me that it's a 75 mile round trip and wanted to know why I had chosen that particular destination. I told her I had called to see if they had any Crank Position Sensors in stock and they only had one. Seeing as how I don't have a spare I thought I'd better go out and get it before someone bought it (ya never know how long it could take to get one if they are on back order or something when you need one).
She said "Bullshit! you just wanna go visit your bike". Can't get nothin past her.
So me and the dog drove out and visited the "shrink" (that's what I call my bike). It looked sad sitting in the line up in the service area. I told it to hang in there and I'd be back to it get soon.
I did get the Crank Position Sensor while I was there.
