heh... the cat occasionally will show up in the garage with a dead mouse... last night she spent the whole night in the garage, and I think I'm going to toss her out there every night for a week or so just to make the garage a less desirable place for rodents to camp out.
I think these probably were left in there since winter. I bet that the mouse or mice climbed up the inside of the cover and into the air box. I found the same thing inside one of the rubber hoses I remove from my boat and store on a shelf in the garage. Sorta creepy, right?
I ride every day, rain or shine, unless the roads have been salted. I didn't notice any performance lacking, but I did notice an improvement with the new, seedless air cleaner... haha.
If you store bird seed around the garage I'd make sure it's in a metal can with a tight lid. If there's a bird feeder close by the house they'll still be able to get seed. The mice were partying under the seat on my bike and left a pile of shells. A few mouse baits set out and I think I got'em under control.
The fairing on my last bike had grass coming out of the left ear, between the outer and inner fairing. Didn't think much of it, I would pull the stands of grass and there would be more. Had to pull the fairing off for something and a mound of grass fell out about the size of a pound of pot! Set the poison out and killed the dirty little rats.
