Last oil i bought was Valvoline at $5 a qurt full syn...If i'm gonna change it at 5000 miles i ain't gonna pay twice the price..I have used Amsoil before and i feel that if you change it at regular intervals you can run just about anything decent and you are fine... Now if you ride in the city a lot and stop n go a lot then change it more often.
I read that Amsoil can be extended up to 2x the normal drain interval. Comments???
My comment...why bother changing the oil at all? I mean a new engine is only $4500 and 3 quarts of even the most expensive oil is at least $30 plus the $12 that Harley rapes you for the filter. Plus what do the idiots at Harley Davidson know about oil change intervals just because they designed the engine. WTF, the guy at Amsoil know better....go 10-15-20,000 miles. why not.

Yeah that dumb engineering team that has been building those engines for the past 100 years don't know squat. They say to use HD dino oil, that is total bull. Go out and read some web forums from people who really know what they're talking about and find something better.
