everyone admits sync 3 makes more engine noise than dino, for a cooler engine everyone think"s you should run synthetic oil, Is there any synthetic oil out there that seems to quiet the engine down or keep the noise at the same level.and is there enough difference in the level of heat comming off the motor that it"s noticeable. thinking of going to mobil 1 v twin but not sure if it would be worth it.change oil every 2500 miles because thats about all the miles I ride living in ohio.

Synthetic oil is not going to make your bike run cooler. Noises are a little more subjective. I don't think I can hear a difference between syn and dino.

My bike runs about 15 degrees cooler on average with synthetic oil. Takes longer to heat up as well. Many reports of the same on here.

Just reporting my experience. Don't know why it is different than others. But my oil temps are lower by 10 - 20 degrees when using dino. Warm up time seems to be the same.
Amsoil .... run thicker in your primary than in your motor. Makes my bike shift much better.
+ 1 million! no other way! I know people b!tch about the price, but honestly its 1 qt in the primary, and 1 qt of severe gear in the trans, then a few qts of oil in the engine, aint that bad.... Besides, how much do you have into your bike?? makes the price of the Amsoil seem fair. I run it and love it!
I can tell that my top end is a bit quieter with dino than syn. That said, I do like the benefits of syn. Therefore I use 2.5 qts Valvo VR1 20w-50 dino/1 qt of Valvo VR1 20w-50 syn which still has higher syn content than syn blends which are roughly 15% as their's no industry standard. Big profit margin for the oil companies...
Never saw any temp drops with any of the synthetics I ran, including Redline, M1 15W-50, M1-VT, Amsoil, & Syn3. Of the synthetics my engine was noisiest with M1 15W-50 & quietest with Syn3.
Quietest it's ever been was with HD 360, followed closely by the VR1 dino I'm running now.

I ain't an oil expert, but I can't believe any oil would make an engine run cooler than any other oil. The heat is a byproduct of combustion, and the engine don't know what kind of oil is in it. I can believe that some synthetics may stand up to the heat better than dead dino oil, but I don't believe they make the engine run cooler. I have never run anything except dead dino in all my cars and bikes. I've never had any engine problems that I could blame on the oil. I do change oil and filters every 2,500 to 3,000 miles, but that is because I am kinda old and I remember the days when 2,500 was the recommended interval for changing oil. I am skeptical about the 5.000 mile recommendations for the new cars and bikes.
