Default Depressing - Put Trickle Charger on the Bike..

While warming up my coffee, walked out to the garage and put the bike on the trickle charger. Depressing that it's that time of the year. Tellin' myself it's just there to keep the battery topped up between rides but in my heart I know that it's coming ot the end of the season...

Post ***** season.

I feel for you. There's always a solid month or so in Northern Nevada that is unrideable, but that's about it.

I feel for both of you, but that's why the cost of living is higher out here...

If it helps, you are not alone. Raining here in S.L.C. Started last night and looks like it will last most of the weekend. I hate to put it away too but I know its about that time. I'm going to use the winter months to add some mods, so that might help. And then there is always drinking to relieve the pain[sm=icon_guiness.gif]

Sorry to hear it...I'm in So. Calif. so I don't have to "put her up" . There are some rainy times when I just stick the charger on but it's not too long.

I have been following the threads for storing though. Hubby may have to store his for 3 to 6 months if he has an operation on his arm. Sadly mine will probably not get much riding either since I ride with him mostly.

It is a sad time of the year, yesterday morning @ 23 degree's I rode my bike to dealer.A 27 mile ride i really enjoy'd being it was my last day of being on vacation for a week. I pulled up to the service dept door with a frozen smile on my face, the door opened and i drove in. Once inside I pulled the plastic tab on the ring my half helmet to undo my helmet,It snapped right off........ guessing it was frozen

My bike will spend another warm humid free winter, climate controlled @60 degree's in the dealers onsite storage (350 bike storage capacity)with visitation rights, lol. I was to have built a retaining wall behind the house this year as to put the bike in the heated basement of my home, and never got to it because i was riding every decent day this season.

On a plus side........ my dealer is installing a dyno in a room of it's own in the service department,so it looks like i'll be asking santa for a race tuner for christmas, and bring it up to the service dept this winter to have my bike dialed in finally, the stage 2 download worked alright but i'm sure alot better can be done with a good dyno tune.
snow flurries yesterday and a few more today here in my part of NH,I envy those who can ride all year round, but for me it's time to become a posting *****

so after all that - think I'm gonna be able to get out for a couple of hours tomorrow...

btw - the cost of living is higher out there than where - New York/New Jersey? Hot has nothing to do with cost of living. Lots of inexpensive places in the south...

Just rode home from work after dark. Wore the leathers over my business casual just to keep the frikin trouser legs from blowing up to my knees. Temp right now is 57*. Rain is on its way tomorrow. One thing about Kansas if you don't like the weather just wait a day or two because it is going to change.

The positive side to winter is all of the customizing I do. My bike never looks the same after winter. I am half way done putting a dynamic duo air horn. Then I'm totally changing the rear end w/ new lights, license etc. If santa is good to me I'll be adding some key key chrome parts too. I can't waitto show it off this spring!
