HAH, nope, not a troll - just callin 'em like I see 'em. Judging from your response and continued unwillingness to just be HONEST and TAKE IT LIKE A MAN, I'd say I'm pretty accurate!

Seriously, you come on here, admitting to breaking the law and you wanna whine & cry about a ranger & some LEO's doing their jobs!? Good luck with that "the beer can was from a previous stop" defense! I'm sure the judge will completely understand.

I'll agree that carrying a beer can around isn't very smart, but your responses are way over the top. Having a beer is not against the law. Driving/riding while over the legal limit is. Obviously, they did not suspect or find the OP to be over the legal limit. So, what is your beef? FWIW, I do not drink and do not want to be on the road with drunks.

Sure you were, like all good bikers carry their empty cans to the
next garbage stop. Sounds exactly like my son when he was young.
I told him he could only BS me if I wasn't paying attention.

The beef is the drinking and riding does not mix. And I would not want to get taken out buy some guy that does not realize that. Here is the big city we have traffic and distracted riders, in Wiscosin you have deer all over the place.

Me personally it is shame they did pursue the ticket. I would have enjoyed being in the court gallery to hear the OP present his defense.

The beef is this is just another entitle American dissing another American "Barney Fife" making a honest days pay.

Why were you out riding around drinking in the first place?
Just saying you were asking for trouble.

First I do not condone drinking alcohol and driving in any way shape or form but it should not be a crime that you have an empty alcohol container in your possession. If a law enforcement officer thinks you are drunk then they should be giving you a field sobriety test not giving out open container tickets. What is more if I read adamsthephoneguy original post right the cop would not have known whether he had picked up the can off the ground or out of his saddle bag.

To AnotherBlackSG first you sound like a cop with the harsh approach you took. There was no reason to be that nasty; you do not have all that fact just like I do not. You don't know if he was drinking or not, maybe he picked up the can off the ground intending to throw it away and never found a good place. So please think be for you make yourself out to be an a$$

I mean seriously, don't some people use a crushed beer can as a pad for their kickstand? There, now you got another defense
