Smile 103's for everyone

So I was at the dealership today for a big sale they were having and started talking to one of the sales guys and while we were talking about the 2012 touring bikes getting the 103 STD he tells me everything is getting the 103 now.

I checked the Website and didn't see anything about this yet so if this is some wrong or repeat info sorry for the post but I found it interesting to hear that everything that was a 96 is now a 103 and I even asked after he said it that he meant the touring series right and he said nope the entire line up!

I just wondering why these new bikes have to have an engine that big from the factory in the first place on the average riders bike there's only so many inch's they can really use and they hit that around 88" . Seems like dick wagging rights and that's it all things considered , the Moco is doing it's usual thing . Put out a line of bike 's watch what people do to them and them hurry up and slam out a factory produced line with all the popular mods trying to suck more money out of that wallet . Wouldn't be bad if they would debug the damn things first .

Correct! See California EPA website referenced in several other threads.

Unfortunately, this means they will jack up the prices on all the bikes by a grand or more.

Two reasons

1 victory comes with a 106 so we r keeping up with the jones

2 gotta burn off those 103 parts before the new liquid cooled versions come out and this allows them to charge more over last years models because they are improved

One other reason the engines keep getting bigger is that the EPA regs keep strangling the power, so the engines have to keep getting bigger just to keep up.

I read somewhere it's about a $500 price increase across the board.
