I have been having issues as well. After checking your directions with my 05 sporty book my book never says anything about using the right sig to set the code. Runs off to try again...
It seems as the system changes from year to year or for different bikes I went through the procedure in my manual again and got it to work. Remember if the book says quickly it means really fast, I think this is where I was having problems.
Thanks guys for all of the advice. I tried everything that you said to do, went back to the book and still can't get that thing to work. I guess I'll go to the dealer and see if they can help. Thanks again.
Thanks for the post, I have not changed my code from the one that is in the bike from the factory. Not smart on my part. I will give it a try one cold winter night when I am bored to death and connot ride.

Softail, make sure you are really bored, because ever since I first posted on this subject I've been trying to program my code; and its so messed up now I may have to trailor my bike to the dealer. It just doesn't work for me the way the instructions say it is suppose to work. Good luck!
