Default '11 FBLo. Setting security alarm code.

Okay, I guess I am not as sharp as I thought. Did searches and found out how to set the alarm code. My bike came without the owners manual, so I am doing this from web info.

I have the hands free fobs, 2 of them. I have it on the speedo when trying this.

I tried with both the kill switch set to run, and off.

I take ignition to ign-off-ign-off-ign
Then press left turn signal 3 times
Press right turn signal 1 time.

Nothing displays, right turn signal continues to blink. Read somewhere else that you press left signal only 2 times. This didn't work either.

I read you have to do all the actions in less than 2 seconds, I tried to do it both ways as quickly as I could, no go.

Am I missing something obvious? This should not be this hard. Like I said, I did a search and read the directions, just can't make it work.

Thanks
Michael

Wink Entering your PIN Number!

LOL,
I know what you mean. I just had mine installed and it took me a bit to figer it out( and that was with the manual!! Here you go.
Turn ignition on and immediately hold both turn switches in until 5 dashes appear in the odometer window. Enter the first code by pressing the LEFT turn switch. Press the RIGHT turn switch one time. Enter the second digit code by pressing the LEFT turn switch. Then just keep going back and forth!! The right moves it to the next space to put the code in the Left enters the code. Hope this helps!

Reaper 9

Thanks, but I think that is the procedure to disable the alarm after you setup the code the first time.

I am trying to get to the setup to just enter my own code.

Cannot get it to work.

Thanks
Michael

Genius. That was it. It took cycling the kill switch on and off, not the ignition switch.

Thank you very much.
