Real scary ride on the new heritage today
Well, I saw the service department alright, but on a completely different subject. Only the last 5 miles of the journey are highway miles, but I damn near soiled myself when I got up to 65 mph. The bike started wobbling under me and thought I was in real trouble. Limped her into the dealership, told the service guy and he quickly diagnosed the fact that the spokes on my rear wheel were all loose. WTF? Aren't they supposed to check these minor things out before rolling them out the door?
Worse, they can't or wouldn't offer to fix until next week. Said the wheel had to come off completely and get balanced and realigned. Maybe warranty work takes last place when paying customers are lined up on a Saturday.
So, I spent the next hour and a half waiting on my wife to get me and looking at all the other nice rides without spokes!!!
Maybe I should have gotten the RKC.Anyone here have long term woes with the spokes other than *** pains when the occasional flat happens?
Not only did the Factory screw up, but the Dealer ( who was paid by both you AND the Factory (2% hold back,) to prep the bike,) put you on a dangerous vehicle through nothing but their pure negligence.
Either have it back Monday or have an interview with your local TV station's Trouble Shooter about it. Nothin' like a little negative publicity to get things done quickly.

I know I didn't pay dealer prep, nor do I know a single person who has paid dealer prep. They're not prepped anyway. Why pay for what is not done?
