I have a 71 fx shovelhead that has a S&S 93 cubic inch hot set-up kit in it, when I had the motor work done I had my mechanic put a Dyna S electronic ignition in it. Now im having problems getting the bike to start, I've ridden it a couple times on gravel without the points cover on, I was wondering if the little bit of dust that might have gotten in there could cause my problems, if anyone has any info or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Repost your question down in the "Shovelhead" section of this forum along with a more complete description of "having problems getting the bike to start". Doesn't fire at all? Pops but won't catch and run? spark/no spark? etc. You will get help from those guys.
