I told the lady next door that I was a little concerned about starting my bike every morning at 7. I don't want to wake up her young kids and always start up and idle down-hill out of the area.
She said they are always up by then and "Actually, whenever I hear a motorcycle it makes me happy, because I know that someone is going to start their day by doing something they love."
Dude: What is with all of the fake Southerner "Yankee Hate"...your location says you are from NY.
fake southerner hate?? not sure what you mean by that. read what my location says better ok. just telling the OP about the area were he lives. It a known fact about the area he living in full of former northeasterner with they nose in the air, they are just better than everyone else. yea i'm from NY lived there 54 yrs, I don't think i'm better than anyone. I love it here great weather for riding, good BBQ no snow to shovel, good job sure beats NY, wish I made the move here 20yrs ago.
So we just moved into a Townhouse in Morrisville NC (temporarily by the way,we are looking for a place with some seperation and privacy)and on our very first day of living there I fired the bike up at around 11:30 am on a Wednesday and this nutjob comes running out of his house-about 3 or 4 units down on the other side of the street-and starts asking me if I will be riding "often" and at night!Says his wife is having Heart palpatations as we speak.Asks if I can push the bike down the street and then start it!I calmly(somehow) tell him that motorcycles are not illegal and I will be as respectful as possible and idle in and out of the neighborhood.
Dude rings the doorbell later that night, finally introduces himself as "Rick"(rhymes with...)and hands me some printout about some neighbors having a conflict and the "Dude" with the motorcycle agrees to push the bike down the street and then start it.This guy just won't give up.Just happened to run into an officer later that day and he laughed and said don't pay any attention to the guy.It has been waves and smiles from pretty much all the other neighbors.
Good thing I didn't set up my drums!
There is one of these in every "hood". The best advice I can offer is to play by the rules and do not give him or others a legal reason to enforce any statute or home owner type deal. Do not give people like this the bullets to shoot you with.
tell him his cry baby **** is bothering your wife LOL
I think we should all plan a ride to that neighbor hood hire a bunch of ****** and a band buy 15 or 20 kegs and party for the weeked and show the **** how loud bikers can be LMAO
I have one that lives across the street from me... he used to in the Fall like to rake all his leaves ACROSS the street and into my yard and my neighbors yard...he stopped after I bagged all his leaves and my leaves up about 2 years ago, went into his front yard and spread all the leaves all over his front yard.... my neighbor got in his face and said that if it ever happens again that he was gonna beat the **** outta him... neither one of use have had a problem since... he's a real out there case. He walks by and tries to be nice now...

I had a similar incident with a neighbor who came running out of his house yelling at me while I was cleaning up after mowing, using my leaf blower. It was mid day and the guy was having a meltdown over the leaf blower noise. And he lived 2 doors down. I more or less told him to f**k off. And that was that.
