i drove an expedite truck(box truck with a sleeper) for a while..i asked the town hall if there was any problem with me parking my truck in my drive at my old house when i was home, about 2 days every 2-3 weeks, they said no problem.had several neighbors complain about the truck idling for 1 min from the time i pulled in till i shut down.a few months later i got a letter saying no semis trackors or trailers are aloud to be in the neighborhood and i would have to move my truck. so i went back to the town hall,i explained the difference in an 18 wheeler and my truck.. my truck sat on the same chassis as a dozen motorhomes parked all over the neighborhood.and there were a dozen more company truck/vans parked around the block.first they said i should park my truck at "the office"i told them there was no office,i owned the truck, and the company i was leased on to was in another state.then they said it was ok as long as i wasnt there too much..amonth later they came to my house and measured my truck,a new law was passed while i was on the road that no commercial trucks that fit them dimensions were aloud on my street...6 months later one of the neighbors that caused a lot of the trouble had a house fire,i went up and yelled to him that the fire trucks had to go,they violated the new law because they were the same freightliner fl80 that they made me get rid of..he wasn't too amused at my remarks..cant stand HOA's or small towns that act like HOA's..im in the country now..i told my neighbors now that if they give me any problems i would take up hog farming..

Outside the the AFB in the town where I grew up was a sign w/ a drawing of fighter jets flying low over the rooftops. It said "Which ones would you rather hear, ours or theirs?"

Sorry Im a bit late on this... but I'd say ok... I'll push my bike down the street before I start it.. if you, in return, will push your car down the street before you start it..

i would move south in a minute if i wasn't sidled with a house worth about 30K less than what i bought it for 4 years ago, and two kids in school. i love NY but hate the taxes and politicians here, i also hate how the liberals in the city dictate to the entire state. there should really be southern NY consisting of westchester, manhattan, brooklyn, queens, SI, the bronx, and long island, and northern NY consisting of the remaining counties.

NC is where i would look to go, or virginia.

That could be fun, but she has a face of more the equine variety if you get my drift...you're probably not that far off the mark!

I wonder if it is like the old adage in poker...if you can't spot the sucker in the game...it's you.
I have never had a bad neighbor.

i have a 1300 sq ft 100 year old house that constantly needs repair i pay $8000 a year in taxes on, it cost me nearly 300K to buy in orange county NY four years ago. my school taxes go up nearly 8% a year, not sure what they think but i don't know anyone getting an 8% raise every year.

i know it's not shang-ri-la down there but i'm so sick of this state. i grew up in brooklyn and long island so i know that area too, my first order of business was to get the hell out of there and get upstate a bit.

unfortunately i'm stuck though...

He had to leave it off property while he fought it in court (about 18 months) and won because they have to grandfather him in since he was an existing owner when they passed the resolution. He used to be really considerate before but now he does not even try and parks it as close as he can to the complainers condo. The guy lost his position with the HOA because of all the money they lost paying all the lawyers. What a waste.
Yea;that figures. Florida bullshit. My GF lives in Lakeland, and we have had problems with her neighbors barking dog till I really blew up one night & the neighbor videotaped & recorded me goin' nuts on her. Cops came, & I guess they felt sorry for us 'cause they know of the problem we have been having as we reported her 2 or 3 times a week for nuisance barking. After the blowup, we never heard the dog again. I guess I terrorized her sufficiently. Effin' biotch!
