I am fortunate to live in a quiet neighborhood even though there are lots of kids. The kids think my bikes are cool. Many of the parents say they wish they could own one. Mine was the only bike in the neighborhood for several years, now there are two dozen or so with kids having bikes of their own. I guess I have started us on the road to ruin with all that bad biker element.
Pull the muffler off yur lawn mower and mow the grass at 5am saturday or sunday morning then tell'm the harley wasen't that bad after all huh??
Glad my neighbor is 2 blocks up the road. and the cows don't mind....

We are fortunate to live in a quiet residential area that just about everyone has a bike, either HD or import + other hobbies...
My neighbour right across the street likes his AMC cars, he has a Gremlin with a big block Chevy engine in it that really pushes HP. His other garage car is a Javelin that pushes 700 RWHP.
We love our quiet times but no one gets in anyones face about the fun we have.
All of my neighbors have bikes, and some of them pretty loud too, still no one complains. That is because the guy at the end of the block has a circle track car. He wrecks it each weekend and fixes it all week. That thing makes so much noise as he pulls it on and off the trailer and gets it tuned up in his garage our bikes sound nearly silent in comparison.
Kind of reminds me of a similar problem with THUMP-THUMP 125db boom box radios driving through the neighborhood at 2:00a.m. Makes me want to go out with some of those flat tire strips the law-dawgs use.
I love people like this guy. They're the same ones that ask me, "can we just shoot the gun out of their hand?" or "why cant i shoot them in the foot or leg?"
pussies. all of them. i think you're being a good neighbor by being quiet when you ride in and out.
if you want to keep it legal, file a harassment complaint against him. that'll shut him up. if you dont care about the law, start doing things to his house that teenagers would do - TP, egg, flaming bag of ****. that should keep him busy and not worrying about a bike
Back in '98 - '99 I lived in Cary, NC in a very nice apartment complex. We were on top floor (3rd floor) and had great neighbors across the hall.
Unfortunately he and his wife had some bad neighbors below them. They complained on several occassions about the neighbor's motorcycle coming in at like 8pm and said he should have to have it parked prior to 7pm so that people could sleep. Many other issues that made us want to give the dude some midol cause his p#*!y was clearly hurting.
My neighbor finally got fed up and devised a plan. The apartment decks had cracks between the flooring, just enough to barely see thru. Good neighbor knew the bad neighbor below was Hindu. So, every evening for about 2 weeks in a row we grilled steak at his place. You know how the steak package always has a bit of blood in it? Well, for some reason that blood and the steak grease from the grill kept leaking thru the deck flooring onto the deck below... For some reason the bad neighbor moved!
