So we just moved into a Townhouse in Morrisville NC (temporarily by the way,we are looking for a place with some seperation and privacy)and on our very first day of living there I fired the bike up at around 11:30 am on a Wednesday and this nutjob comes running out of his house-about 3 or 4 units down on the other side of the street-and starts asking me if I will be riding "often" and at night!Says his wife is having Heart palpatations as we speak.Asks if I can push the bike down the street and then start it!I calmly(somehow) tell him that motorcycles are not illegal and I will be as respectful as possible and idle in and out of the neighborhood.
Dude rings the doorbell later that night, finally introduces himself as "Rick"(rhymes with...)and hands me some printout about some neighbors having a conflict and the "Dude" with the motorcycle agrees to push the bike down the street and then start it.This guy just won't give up.Just happened to run into an officer later that day and he laughed and said don't pay any attention to the guy.It has been waves and smiles from pretty much all the other neighbors.
Good thing I didn't set up my drums!
Haha-lots of nice suggestions guys.I like the idea of taking his wife for a ride.Yeah we moved out of CT to get away from these kind of jackasses.
Had a neighbor when I was a kid that would call the cops when I practiced my drums. And I am an actual pro,not some hack.Even then I sounded good!Gave us the same heart palpatation line. They are like a breed or something.I doubt I will hear from him again-the wifey took care of the Go F yourself part for me-she's a tough little one. There are quite a few bikes rumbling around here so this dude is just out of luck. It's called an over 55 community dickbag. The good news is we are here monthly and we will find a home eventually.Guy next door has a little kid and he said NP,bikes are cool.My last boss was a multi millionaire and when he found out I had a bike he said "man I always wanted to get one-that must be so great".Dude has huge money and everything else a guy could ask for but he still wants that Harley!
Peace ya'll.

I've got a neighbor who is a pain in the *** to. They used to take pictures of everything that went on at my house. Family, friends, A/C man, trash truck, motorcycle friends...didn't matter, they got pics of everything. Took them to court, got a one year restraining order and so far I think it has stopped.
If I sell you their house you won't hear any complaints from me!
In the mean time, if you want us to come visit sometime just say the word. We'll ride over and idle in the parking lot while you get ready to ride somewhere with us. I'll bring at least 3 others.
Meathead might learn to keep quiet about one bike then.
Ride Safe
Time for a huge biker bash at the house. Had a friend in a similar situation years ago. After about 20 of us showed up in his yard with our loud pipes and 24's of beer. His neighbor kept his mouth shut about the bikes until the neighbor moved 3 months later. Did not get any hassles from local LEO as most of them were at the party.

when he said she was having palpatations you should have called 911 right then and there and told him help was on the way. bet he would have crapped his pants.
So Rick says you're giving his wife heart palpitations, probably from watching you through her blinds. If she's a hottie offer his ol lady a mustache ride like a good biking neighbor that you are.
In the meantime tell Rick to man-up and stop being such a metrosexual.
