Here we go again.. net-testosterone at its best.

I dont understand the responses, threads of this genre, provoke. Most claim to know the answers. Others get offended. Sheeit... I love when someone acts all macho on the net. It makes me laugh. How about a little reality check. No one gives a sheeit who you think you are. Myself included. Wether you like it or not.. here and now.. we're just a bunch of people with a bike, pc and time to waste.

I guess my rant is over. Go ahead, get offended and reply to your hearts content. I can promise you, no ones reply will make any difference to the facts I pointed out. Think about it!

P.S. This wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. It seems to be a wave of ego flying around lately. Lets not ruin a good thing.
[sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=youreright.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif] GREAT ANSWER

What I want to know SiLlY, is why did everyone give basically the same answer as 16over did. He gave a good clear answer in the second post without any BS and everyone spelled out the same thing....over......and over....and over. Did it somehow sound better when the rest of you typed it on your keyboards???[sm=ummmmokay.gif]

Relax folks, it's a website, have some fun, no one is keeping score....

If you really want to find out what a 1%er is...sew a 1% patch on your favorite riding jacket and walk into an outlaw bar full of true 1%ers. You will find out very quickly what a 1%er is. I have partied with them many times and I agree they are generally great people to know. However, you better know yourself also. These "gentlemen" do not pretend to be something they are not and you better not either, if you are with them. THEY QUIT SCHOOL BECAUSE OF RECESS. THEY DO NOT PLAY.

You guys are COMPLETELY missing my point. If you know 1%ers that are "great, stand up guys" then they are not 1%ers at all. The original 1%ers were the lawless thugs that I described before, you cannot deny that. The modern ones may call themselves 1%ers but if they are as wonderful, generous and kind as you describe, then it is only a label. They are actually 99%ers that like to call themselves 1%ers. I AM NOT SAYING THAT THEY ARE NECESSARILY BAD PEOPLE. I am saying that they may not actually be 1%ers, because a TRUE 1%er is not a good person.

What would you call a gruop of guys that ride under a veretrans patch, but none of them ever served in a war?? Get the point? It would be just a label. It wouldn't represent a fact.

I welcome all responses but I hope the response is to what I ACTUALLY SAID.

a "1%'er" HISTORICALLY was a motorcyclist who DID NOT represent the "99% of 'nice' or 'good' law abiding motorcyclists" that the AMA spoke about after a rally.

now- 1% groups will try to pull the wool over your eyes and lead you to believe that theyre decent, upstanding and misunderstood guys who ride bikes.... bullshlt. the Warlocks, Hells Angels, Tribe, Banditos, Wheels of Soul (and a bunch of others) are still involved in motorcycle theft, drug distribution, prostitution, illegal guns, bombs (yes, bomb making) and just about any other criminal enterprise you can think of.

the only GOOD thing i can say about the 1%ers is that they really only mess with other 1%ers. its not often at all that they terrorize the general public. helll, they most even give law enforcement a higher level of respect.... but theyre still no good.

and a 1%er is a 1%er for life.
Sorry man, I just have to disagree. Knowing quite a few of these so called 1%'s I do not find them to be nearly as outlandish and nutty as you are saying. Just because they don't like to live by societie's rules does not automatically make them bad.

I have a feeling your a LEO and from your dealings you have experienced some serious stuff. I resepect that, but lumping every 1%'r into a group is indeed what they are fleeing from.
I have to disagree too. Do you actually know or have you actually ridden with any of these folks? If not, be careful about the generalization. I do and I have, and they're some of the most stand up, brutally honest, guys you'd ever want to have your back. They'd give you the shirt off their back, their last bike part, or their last beer if you needed it, unlike most of the supposedly 99% of folks out there. Speak not of what you don't know or understand.

A 1% er by definition is exactly that, 1% of the 100% that's different. You and others decided to make it synonomous with what you want to think. Every 1% er does not fit your definition or description .... that's just reality.

I hooked up with a local club just because I got sick of riding alone. Nothing more to it than that for me.
